A pair of bathing stools crafted from one single piece of very rare Scottish Burr Walnut. Designed after the Japanese style of simplicity with nostalgic allusions.
This pair of bathing stools was crafted from a single piece of Scottish Burr Walnut - some of the rarest timber in the world. To our knowledge, no such trees grow in the country today, and it is thought that no more Scottish Burr Walnut exists. The wood was stored for over 50 years in the Scottish Borders and passed on as an inheritance before Hownam Studio procured it.
The Hownam Studio icon is embedded at the rear of each seat base.
